Welcome all to the new domain and new website!

I have successfully recovered all posts, users, threads, boards, pretty much all user-generated-content (even PMs) but reputations seemed to have slipped the merge.
Pretty white, right? Well that's because we are now white supremacists. I am developing a dark theme as we speak, but due to uni and diplomas, it'll be a bit late (read: it'll take about a month) so for the meantime, this is what we're stuck with.

Once AoTTGv1 beta comes out, all upgraded members will be able to switch to it to help me with feedback and bugfixing.
Yes, right now we don't even have any recent threads or anything, but I'm working on making alerts a thing (you'll get fb-style alerts everytime someone gives you rep, quotes you, or replies to your thread, etc.)

You may have also noticed that there is no shoutbox. I'm still undecided whether to add it to the index or not, as it pretty much automatically kills all activity (and the whole purpose of this forum).

Feng gold is also gone, and I'm not sure if I want to bring it back as it wasn't really a big feature and only a meme inside joke. Let me know if you want that back.

Anyway, ask any questions here, otherwise you're free to use the site however you desire.

Hello the 4 people who still check this.

I bring good news and bad news. The good news is that as of right now, the site is a lot more user friendly in regards of SEO, URL handling, latency or SSL support, and even has alerts working, which usually broke within the first couple of days. This is literally all the good news that I can give right now.
The bad news is that my irl stuff is really messing me up right now, so this can severely impact the progress of the development of the theme or any new features (or existing features that I just didn't configure yet). This means that the site will probably look as ugly as it is right now for a while longer.

As always, I will do my best to speed up the production of the new theme, even if it means releasing an inherently broken theme early and patching it down the line, if it means that you guys'll enjoy it (and not break the parts of the theme I didn't get to yet).

As always, thanks for reading (and saph stop being dead)

Yay! That's still a lot of progress considering that you have so much irl stuff to handle. Thanks for putting so much work to make this forum better \o/

That being said, you should totally focus on your life things now :P I hope all goes well

tbh I dont understand why you've always tried to enforce posts over sb theyre both for conversations but ones just better

I've explained it before, and atm even if I wanted to, I couldn't just flick a switch and make it work.
The main difference now is that the site is no longer in my basement. I don't know if the server will handle the large load of a sb. If after some time I get the statistics in my panel, I'll consider implementing it.

Everytime you visit a page, you make a connection with the server, so in theory, everytime you'd want to see new messages in the shoutbox, you'd have to press that f5 key and refresh the page. Thank god we have AJAX, software that can make new connections between the user and server without needing to refresh. This means that whenever you have your shoutbox open in your browser, for it to keep showing you the newest messages, it has to constantly ping back to the site. If there is a small number of users, this server load is miniscule, however, it increases lineralry, the more people have it open.

If 2 people chat in sb, and sb auto checks for new messages every 5 seconds, in 10 minutes of conversation the server will recieve about 240 from both of them.
If 20 people would have sb open (they wouldn't even have to chat or do anything, just keep it open), 2400 in the same 10 minutes.

Update: Alright lads, due to severe issues, I'm forced to shut down the site until further notice and will reinstall the back-end OS and while I'm at it replace Apache with nginx and MySQL with MariaDB which will provide us with much needed stability/security.

I am also delaying the theme since I was and will be busy with the server for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for your continuous support.

By the way, while I'm making the theme, do let me know what kinda features you'd want to see on here. I'm currently in touch with another php developer who might be able to make a cool module or two for a few bucks. I'm still debating on bringing back feng gold since it was kinda pointless but a good spicy meme regardless :uwu:

(also no rBanner lul cause nobody would make memes for that anymore)
