So yesterday I was drunk and bought a minecraft server, so let's bloody use it while we wait for Spring. I figured out how to whitelist people so just post your username or like dm me or some shit.

19/2/2019 - Okay looks like i'm getting the hang of this, I have to restart the server whenever I tinker with the settings for them to take effect. And I also kinda deleted the world we played on yesterday (oops) so we now have a new fresh one. It also autosaves progress and shit.

26/4/2019 - Cba to manually maintain serverino, buying one is just way more convenient and it's just 6 euros a month. And since we got ourselves a new world I'm making it a meme.

NEW RULE: The first time you join the world you're given full creative mode. You can use and abuse creative mode as you please (build whatever you want, detonate TNT wherever you want, make infinite chests full of diamond blocks, you name it). Once you log out (no matter if you crash or your PC dies or you gotta go to bed), you go back to survival and there is no going back.

Apparently I followed an ancient tutorial on how to setup this shite that's why it was always lagging. And I really must give a thumbs up to all the 9 year-olds who figure this shit out tbh cause I still have no clue how it works exactly.

Btw world got purged and I'ma gonna reinstall sometime tmrw and try to get it to work. Feel free to nuke the current laggy swampworld until then lul
 
Buy a realm from the minecraft store, it's relatively cheap and works good enough so you and friends can play, but if you have 20 or more players on it all the time I guess a server or vps would work better.

Realms are a scam from microsoft. I rather buy a server and whitelist the people I want to play with because I have more control over the server and its specs, while MS just puts everyone on a shite server and limits your use of plugins. Ideally I'd host it on a server of my own, but I honestly can't be assed rn and manually keeping it up-to-date is an inconvenience.

Edit #2: Holy shit 1.14 is the update to kill all servers. I bought the same server as before and it's advertised to support 30 people, but now on 1.14 with just me and jamie building our own stuff its CPU is maxed out and ram at about 80%. That's 2 people being in the same area and building away. Might go back to 1.13.2 if shit gets too out-of-hand.
 
i always play either on realms or on hypixel because of the minigames

and yep chunk rendering is one of the big issues with java 1.14, its slow enough that the game is unplayable. probably will be fixed tomorrow with a 1.14.1. Also, the EnderDragon is broken on java 1.14, it flies in circles when you fight it after a certain amount of time.
 
Imagine it, you’re just a villager, living in your blocky world. You have your village, you work your farms, it ain’t much, but it’s honest work. Day after day, it’s the same... until one day, it all changes, when THEY arrive. They come in different shapes, sizes, colors. Very few of them look the same. They can craft tools and weapons beyond anything you have ever seen, and empower them with ancient magics from times the world forgot. They can fight the monsters that tear through your village in meer minutes, and they make it look easy. And of monsters kill them? They can just come back and avenge their stuff.

They pillage the land at rates villagers never could, clearing entire chunks of forests and digging massive craters, using what they take to build mansions, castles, towers, anything that comes to mind. They pierce between dimensions, tearing open portals that lead to nightmare realms such as the nether or the end, then go pillage those too as if it is as easy as walking down the street.

Then they come for you, the villager. If you’re lucky, they are just there to trade and move on. If your village is incredibly lucky, they might actually be benevolent enough to fortify it, to help protect it. But then there are the ones who come to take all your food, to tear down your village for resources and leave you to the monsters, or take you to their ‘villager farms’. And you never know which kind they are until they are already upon you.

Resistance is futile. After all you’re just a villager, you’d be dead in seconds against them. They’re like gods, and the world belongs to them now... and villagerkind is just living in it, at their mercy.
 
As a mayor of a village myself, I can confirm that the hostilities against my people is no exaggeration. Currently, in the country if AppleCraft, many settlements are being forced into small confinement’s and forced to breed so that our children can grow up to be forced as slavers to build iron golems for the new overlords.

I beseech anyone with ears to hear my plea and save us from these atrocities.
