AoTTG Servers Down

May 1st 2:00AM All 4 regions went down. The entire game was limited to 20 CCU (Concurrent Users), which means that as soon as there are more than 20 total players in-game, nobody can join until someone leaves.

Afaik, feng had an unlimited 5-year plan which happened to expire tonight, setting the game automatically to their free plan which only supports 20 players.

Just my opinion. There's a game called Freestyle GunZ and this game is pretty old. There are a few developers who holds the server. So maybe we can find someone who can replace feng or something. I don't know anything about coding in general so i'm not sure how this works.

Doubt it. As long as Feng's gone AoTTG will remain the same. The fellas over at the open-source AoTTG 2 project seem to be pretty confident in the progress. I'm kinda interested to see how that turns out.

It being open source really makes all the difference tbh. Opens up the net for contributors a lot.
 
Old news but folks at aottg2 bought new servers for aottg, most mods have been updated to use them
If anyone has way too much money on their hands you can make a meme donation here https://www.patreon.com/aottg2 and the game will stay alive even longer, maybe
 
I'm still convinced Feng knew about the events in 2020. He waited four years to close the servers after his announcement, during that time he moved the United States with his new family and landed a job working in game development. Near this time COVID expands from China and spreads throughout the world. Once he pushes the termination button on the servers, things only get worse from there within the United States. I am convinced Feng is actually a Chinese Hackerman who actually implanted started the domino effect that is the present. And here I am still waiting for a response from his twitter account when I DM'ed him back in 2017. RIP the servers and my DMs.

Also how do we actually know if the guy actually survived COVID?
